Coupons are soooo coool! I got Huggies Wipes $1 plus tax...the Re-fill size!!

I've been following a couple of blogs here and there and I've notice a trend with moms using coupons.  So I said if they can do so can I.  So I read in a couple of blogs that at CVS you can actually save a lot of money.  Well, to tell you the truth I was a little skeptical, but I decided to give it a try.  Ok, so I've been saving my coupons and last week I decided to go buy a hair product the price at CVS was $12.99 and I had a $5 off coupon and I also purchased Pedialyte for Fernandito and also had a $1.50 coupon.  Before coupons my total purchase was  about $18.00, with my CVS card I got $5 off for making a purchase of $15 or more and so at the end I paid a little more than $8.  I was so excited.  So I decided to study a little more, read more blogs and clip more coupons. So this is what I did today...

CVS' ad said that both Huggies and Pamper's wipes tubs were 2/$5, however I read in a blog that the re-fill sizes were also scanning 2/$5 (I'm not sure if by mistake or if CVS did this on purpose?) Anyway....I went to CVS and I bought two re-fill size Huggies Wipes I also took a manufacture coupon for $1 off and I used $2 reward bucks from CVS I had earned on my previous purchase.  So I paid $2.14!!!! I know I can't believe it either!!

Now here comes the best part.  I also bought from CVS 2 can of Progresso soup.  CVS has a sale right now buy one get one free.  Regular price was $3.19 and I also had a manufacture coupon for $1. off.  I also got two 5 oz cans of Bumblebee Tuna on sale each for 49 cents, I had a coupon for a $1 off, so YES they were FREE!! I bought two bags of candies each 99 cents and I had a CVS coupon for $1 off. So basiclly I got one free.  And last but not least I bought a Colgate toothpaste for $2.99 and I had a 75 cents off coupon and yes I know what you are thinking well that is not a good deal (on the toothpaste), but I bought that because I earned $2 reward bucks....so guess what I'm going to go buy tomorrow...more Huggies wipes! Again with a manufacture coupon and my $2 reward bucks I will pay $2.14 for two BIG re-fill bags!!!

Here are some rules I'm following:
  • I'm only going to buy what my family already uses
  • I'm only going to stock up on items I know my baby or family will use
  • I'm going to keep my purchases small, so that I don't end up going over my regular monthly grocery budget
Here are the blogs I'm following and some websites I'm using
Casual Cuisine Here is where I got my inspiration from.
(Thank you Moore for introducing me to this great Blog )
And there is one more blog I read but unfortunatly I didn't add it to my Reader and I can't remember how I got to it :(
Southern Savers I used this mainly for the tips.
I also enrolled with P&G
and I clipped most of my coupons from the inserts in the
Dallas Morning News

If I can Save...so can YOU!
